I Scream…
So, thanks to Kris, the nameless ice cream with ginger and lavender now has a name: Creme Glace Chinoise. Kris; I would send you a pint of the ice cream in question as a tangible thank you, however, I fear it would melt by the time it got to you. By then, most of what makes it charming would be less than palatable.
More later.

Alas, I shall have to try my hand at ice cream making. As hot as it is in the Midwest, a pint wouldn’t make it very far!

Gak! Sorry, Kris–I edited my post to correctly attribute the name to you!
Now, I really feel like I should send off a pint!

*smiles* That’s okay. I teach college students, and I see lots of creative spellings– that’s by far the nicest of the bunch.

Dyslexia sucks, especially with names. When I see something once, often an “s” will morph into an “a”; this happened with your name. However, my brain saw it not as kria, which is not a name, but kari, which is.
And I see I need to edit again.
I will get it right, one of these days.
Sometime, I should write a post about the creative things my brain thinks it sees when I read a menu board or cookbook quickly. Billboards and advertisements often have slogans, when read by my brain, that while they are not effective at selling the product or service in question, are really, really funny, and often quite, uh, well, unprintable.
